Recently, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) passed the Safety Standard for Portable Hook On Chairs. This new safety regulation mandates that portable trailer products must obtain a testing report issued by a CPSC accredited testing laboratory before entering the US market. The regulation will officially come into effect on September 28, 2016.
Due to the reference of the American Society for Testing and Materials standard ASTMF1235-15 "Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Portable Hook On Chairs" in the testing methods of the "Portable Hook On Chairs Safety Standard". According to CNAS regulations, when applying for accreditation for this project, the laboratory must also declare the ASTMF1235-15 "Consumer Safety Specification for Portable Trailers" standard as the testing method.
